Part Two A: For 15 points:

• View photographs from America from the Great Depression to World War II: Photographs from the FSA and OWI, ca. 1935-1945 in American Memory.
• Go from the main home page to the home page for the black and white photographs. From there select the State and Country Index. From the State and Country Index, browse through photographs from three locations:Alabama--Dallas County—Selma Alabama--Eutaw Alabama—Greensboro

• After browsing through these images, select at least 3 photos for careful analysis using this for each photo. Each well written analysis is worth 5 points (15 points) and you may earn as many points as you want by analyzing additional images in one class period.
• Each member of your group should add 3 pictures each.
• Use the discussion tool on your group home page to discuss how you will all contribute to this part of the project.

Part Two B: For 15 points:

• The Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress also has a collection of images entitled "Photographs of Signs Enforcing Racial Discrimination: Documentation by Farm Security Administration-Office of War Information." (A link to this collection is in the descriptive text on the America from the Great Depression to World War II, 1935-1945 home page for the black and white photographs.) Read the information explaining the nature of the photo collection then review the photographs.

• After browsing through these images, select at least 3 photos for careful analysis using this document. Each well written analysis is worth 5 points (15 points required) and you may earn as many points as you want by analyzing additional images in one class period.

• Add the images and analysis to your individual work page.
• Each member of your group should add 3 pictures with analysis each.
